Authorities are searching for a pair of twin girls after a violent burglary last week in Clayton County.
The 19-year-old identical twins, Kyra and Tyra Faison, are wanted in connection with the Dec. 10 incident at the Hampton Downs apartments outside Morrow, according to the Clayton County Sheriff’s Office. The victim was inside her home when someone kicked open the door, beat her in the face with a frying pan and dragged her outside.
The attackers took the woman’s car keys and phone while hitting her with their fists, authorities said.
As a result of an investigation, police took out warrants for Kyra Faison on charges of burglary, aggravated assault, battery, robbery and criminal trespass. Her sister is wanted on a charge of aggravated battery, online court records show.
The attack was over a man, authorities confirmed to Channel 2 Action News.
The charges are not the sisters’ first brush with the law. Kyra Faison is charged in a pending misdemeanor case in Clayton County, records show.
She did not appear in court for a scheduled hearing Dec. 11, one day after the frying pan attack. She has pleaded not guilty to charges of reckless conduct, theft by receiving stolen property and firing a weapon.
While they were students at North Clayton Middle School, the twins were involved in a fight with 20 other girls, their mother told Channel 2 Action News. They were 13 at the time.
The brawl on May 20, 2014, came a few months after the girls were first enrolled at the school.
Charnetta Davis said she and her daughters were followed home and attacked by the gang of middle school girls known as Y.L.O.M., Young Ladies Out Mobbing. They were punched, kicked and stomped on, Davis told the news station.
At the time, Davis blamed a lack of involvement by school officials. She said her girls were being bullied.
“I’ve never in my life experienced anything like this before,” she said. “I feel like I’ve done everything that I could to help my daughters.”
Following the Dec. 10 attack, Kyra and Tyra Faison were added to Sheriff Victor Hill’s “most wanted” list. The sheriff considers the pair to be the No. 2 most wanted criminals in the county.
They are described as 5 foot, 2 inches tall and about 117 pounds. Both should be considered armed and dangerous, authorities said.
