Gwinnett County police are searching for two men believed to be responsible for a rash of vehicle break-ins outside a Lawrenceville gym earlier this month.

Police said several vehicles parked outside Planet Fitness on Lawrenceville-Suwanee Road had their windows smashed March 16. Purses, electronics and personal items were snatched as thieves made off with 15 credit and debit cards, police said.

The suspects were later seen on surveillance video using the cards to purchase $1,500 in gift cards at a Lilburn Walmart, police said.

When leaving the store, the suspects entered a gray or silver SUV and backed out of the parking lot, investigators said, presumably so their tag wouldn’t be seen on camera.

One man was wearing a gray hoodie, sweatpants and black sneakers with white soles. The other had thin, medium-length dreadlocks and was wearing a white T-shirt, black hoodie, jeans and work boots, police said.

Anyone who recognizes the men from the surveillance footage is asked to contact Gwinnett detectives at 770-513-5300 or Crime Stoppers at 770-577-8477. A cash reward is being offered for information leading to an arrest and indictment in the case.
