Police have arrested the person who they say fatally shot a man in the head Wednesday in northwest Atlanta.

An-Nur Green, 43, is charged with murder in connection with the incident, Fulton County Jail records show.

The incident happened outside a home in the 1700 block of Marietta Road, AJC.com previously reported.

Officers were sent to the residence about 4 p.m., Atlanta police spokesman James White said. When they arrived, they found a man with a gunshot wound to the head lying in the parking area the residents of the neighborhood shared.

The man was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital, where he died, White said. The victim’s name has not been released.

An investigation revealed Green was responsible for the shooting, White said. Authorities said the victim and Green knew each other, and the shooting was the culmination of an argument between the two.

Green was arrested at his home in Fairburn, White said.
