The Sweet Auburn Curb Market was hit, literally, early Tuesday morning by smash-and-grab bandits.

Just after 5 a.m., thieves rammed a white van through the metal security gates of the historic Atlanta landmark at 209 Auburn Avenue.

Channel 2 Action News reports that an ATM was taken, and one of two vans used to breach the market’s security was left at the scene.

Police are on the scene investigating, but little information has been released regarding the robbery.

This is the latest in a series of business break-ins in the Edgewood Avenue neighborhood.

Established in 1918, the brick building opened in 1924.
