Norcross High School was temporarily placed on lockdown Wednesday after receiving an anonymous phone threat.

The lockdown has since been lifted.

"We have been given the all-clear but will have an additional police presence on campus today as a precaution," principal Will Bishop said in a post on the school's website.

While he did not specify what the person said in the threat, Bishop said the school resource officer is investigating it.

“All students are safe and on their way to their next class,” Bishop said.
