A Roswell man drowned Saturday while swimming on vacation with his family in Hawaii.

Authorities said Robert Boswell, 53, was seen unresponsive in the water at 3:25 p.m. while swimming off Polihale Beach in Kauai.

A family member called 911 as bystanders pulled Boswell to shore. Beach-goers performed CPR on the man until firefighters arrived, Kauai police said.
