A red SUV is key in solving two robberies turned shootings in Atlanta that left one woman with a grazed forehead and another robbery victim with an injured leg.
The suspects robbed and shot three people within an hour May 20 and fled in what’s described as a red GMC Yukon or Chevy Tahoe, Atlanta police said.
Surveillance footage of the Buckhead shooting shows the men circling the block a few times along East Paces Ferry Road.
According to police, the suspects jumped out of the SUV pointed a silver pistol at a couple and demanded a bookbag the man was carrying.
One of the suspects pointed a gun at the woman and fired a shot that grazed her forehead.
Atlanta police believe the suspects may have shot someone else during an armed robbery on Gresham Road in east Atlanta less than an hour later. In that robbery, police say the gunmen ordered the victims to strip naked and demanded their belongings.
One of the victims grabbed a suspect’s gun and was shot in the leg. That victim was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital.
