A Jackson County woman is accused of stealing from dozens of victims around metro Atlanta and North Georgia and then hoarding what she allegedly stole.
Investigators told Channel 2 Action News that it took two trucks to haul all of the stolen items from Raemondo Lee Inscho's home. The haul included 49 debit and credit cards, checkbooks, identifications, electronics, computers, a credit card machine and meth, according to Winder Police Chief Dennis Dorsey.
In Inscho’s vehicle alone, police said they recovered evidence of 65 victims.
The woman is believed to have burglarized seven houses and stolen from 40 to 50 vehicles across an eight-county area, police said.
Her alleged spree came to an end Thursday night in the parking lot of a Winder YMCA. A man noticed items missing from his car and a strange cell phone in the front seat of the vehicle. When he went into the YMCA to report the incident, Inscho allegedly grabbed the phone and ran, but the man chased, caught and held her for police.
Police searched Inscho’s home and found stuff stacked everywhere, “something you’d see on the TV show ‘Hoarders,’ but all the property was stolen,” Dorsey told Channel 2.
“We haven’t determined yet” why the woman was stealing and hoarding, Dorsey said. “Today, we actually took her around, and she identified different cars and places she has broken into.”
Inscho was being held on $38,000 bond Tuesday night in Barrow County jail, charged with six counts of theft by receiving stolen property and two counts of entering a motor vehicle to commit theft, all felonies, according to the Barrow County Sheriff’s Office.
She also is charged with one count each of possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute and possession and use of drug-related objects, jail records showed.
A dozen law enforcement agencies, including those in Cobb, Clayton and Athens-Clarke counties, were weighing dozens of charges against the suspect, Channel 2 reported.
