Police arrested a man they believe is connected to several rapes in Atlanta.

Seneca Evans, 29, was arrested Sunday and charged with sexual battery, burglary with intent to commit a theft and criminal attempt to rape, according to arrest records.

One of Evans alleged victims told Channel 2 she’d seen Evans outside her home and even exchanged “hellos” hours before the attack.

The woman had just returned home from work about 1:30 a.m. and was speaking with her friend when she heard shattered glass, Channel 2 reported. She whispered to her friend to call 911.

That’s when she says Evans entered the home and attempted to rape her.

“He came around me,” the victim recounted to the news station, “Got on top of me said, ‘You know I’m going to rape your right?’ I said, yes.”

Before Evans could do anything, police entered the home with guns drawn.

Evans was being held in the Fulton County Jail without bond.
