A 25-year-old man currently on parole after being released from state prison in May is now accused of shooting a woman nine times in a suspected domestic dispute, the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office said Thursday.

Joshua Isaiah Seals has been charged with aggravated assault and false imprisonment for the Aug. 29 attack, a spokeswoman for the Sheriff’s Office said. But Seals has not yet been located.

Seals, who should be considered armed and dangerous, may be driving a 2015 Silver Dodge Ram and may be frequenting neighborhoods in the Gresham and Glenwood roads area in south DeKalb, the Sheriff’s Office said. Seals is also known as “Amp” and can be recognized by numerous facial and upper torso tattoos.

On May 5, one day before his 25th birthday, Seals was released from prison after serving 13 months following a conviction for aggravated assault, according to the Georgia Department of Corrections. He is currently on parole.

Seals also served in state prison from March 2008 until August 2008 for a separate aggravated assault conviction, records showed.

Anyone with information on Seals’ whereabouts is asked to contact Crime Stoppers at 404-577-TIPS (8477).
