FBI officials are asking for the public’s help in tracking down an Atlanta man who they believe is responsible for 24 robberies of Atlanta-area Family Dollar stores and have charged in a recent Tucker bank robbery.
Artavius Marcellus Brown, 23, of Atlanta is suspected of robbing a PNC Bank on Main Street in Tucker on June 21, FBI special agent Stephen Emmett said.
“After placing a book bag on the teller counter, (Brown) pulled out a handgun and demanded money,” Emmett said in a statement. “After obtaining an undisclosed amount of money, (Brown) departed the bank without further incident.”
A warrant for Brown’s arrest was issued July 5, Emmett said.
Brown is also a suspect in a string of robberies at 24 Family Dollar stores in the metro Atlanta area, Emmett said.
