Police have found the car of a 19-year-old Atlanta woman who was shot to death and left naked early Tuesday in Oakland City Park.

Bridget Shiel’s car was found early Wednesday behind King’s Southern Delight restaurant in the 4900 block of Redan Road in DeKalb County, Atlanta police Officer Kim Jones said.

About 6:50 a.m. Tuesday, officers responding to a person injured call found Shiel nude in a grassy area near the park’s basketball court.

“Nothing leads us to believe that the assault took place at that location,” police Maj. Adam Lee III said during Tuesday morning news conference. “So we are trying to identify where she lives, where she may have worked, her lifestyle, criminal history — anything that might lead us to identifying why she ended up in Oakland City Park.”

Shiel had multiple gunshot wounds to her back, buttocks and legs, Lee said.

“No one in her family has been able to provide us with information that would give us a clue as to if she was having some sort of a disagreement with somebody that would rise to level of her being harmed as serious as this,” Lee told Channel 2 Action News.

A GoFundMe account was created to help the victim's mother, Angela Shiel, pay funeral costs.

Anyone with information on the case is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 404-577-8477.
