An attorney is facing multiple charges after police say he broke into a Georgia couple’s home and made threats, according to a media report.

Matthew Jack Fitzharris, 29, of Chattanooga, Tenn., was shot during the incident Tuesday night in which he allegedly screamed at the Catoosa County couple, climbed on their roof and threw plants at them, the Chattanooga Times Free Press reported. Catoosa County is about 110 miles northwest of Atlanta.

According to the Times Free Press, the homeowner allegedly shot Fitzharris in his right arm after the attorney lunged at him.

Fitzharris was treated at Hamilton Medical Center in Dalton before authorities took him to jail with a cast, the newspaper reported. He was charged with burglary, simple assault, criminal damage to property, two counts of aggravated assault against the elderly, two counts of terroristic threats and two counts of entering an automobile or other motor vehicle with intent to commit theft or felony.
