Police charged a man with murder Saturday in connection with the stabbing death of a homeless woman in Athens.
Isaac Lee Johnson, 56, of Athens was arrested by Athens-Clarke County police, according to a media release. The arrest came after the body of Andrea Christine Harris, 28, was found in a homeless camp Saturday. Officers had responded to a homeless camp off Oneta Street about 2:41 a.m.
Harris’ body was found with stab wounds, and she was pronounced dead by the coroner, police said.
