A man wanted in the rape of a woman Monday in Sandy Springs has been arrested, police said.

Terry Marquis Hicks allegedly sexually assaulted a woman in an apartment complex on Roberts Drive after leaving a bar with her and another woman.

Hicks, 40, is charged with felony rape and false imprisonment, authorities said.

Police say the attack happened after the other woman left the apartment. The victim suffered injuries, including a broken jaw, police say.

Members of the U.S. Marshals fugitive task force collaborated with Sandy Springs Police and were able to find Hicks around noon Friday at a friend’s apartment in East Point, authorities said.

Hicks was arrested without incident and taken to the Sandy Springs Police headquarters for questioning.
