Pedestrian killed while crossing Cobb County street

July 26, 2015A man crossing a busy Smyrna street was hit by a car and killed Sunday afternoon, officials said.
Smyrna police spokesman Louis Defense said the crash happened at about 1:45 p.m. at the intersection of South Cobb Drive and Windy Hill Road. The pedestrian, an unidentified man believed to be in his late 40s, was pronounced dead at the scene.
No other details were immediately available. The investigation is ongoing, Defense said.
“The driver of the vehicle is being interviewed at the Smyrna Police Department,” Defense said.
