Officer shot in Columbus; man barricaded in home

Oct 21, 2016A police officer has been shot in Columbus, and a man is barricaded in a home, the Columbus Ledger-Enquirer reported Friday.
SWAT officers are on the scene, the paper reported. The officer has been taken to a hospital.
Two schools in the area were placed on a soft lockdown, Muscogee County School District spokeswoman Valerie Fuller said.
