A man was kidnapped in DeKalb County on Monday morning, then robbed, shot and dumped on a road in southern Newton County, authorities said.
A driver spotted the man around 9:50 a.m. walking near Ga. 162 and Ga. 36, the Newton County Sheriff’s Office posted on its Facebook page. The man, described as being in his early 30s, was wearing a bloody undershirt and boxers when found. Authorities did not release the man’s name.
The motorist called 911 and the man was taken to the hospital for emergency surgery.
