A Coweta County mother was sentenced to 17 years in prison with no probation in the death of her 4-month-old daughter, the Newnan Times-Herald reported Monday.

Jasmen Nicole Hazelrigs of Newnan was arrested in September shortly after the child's death, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution previously reported.

Her child, Harmony Breeze Hazelrigs, was found unresponsive and blue around her mouth Sept. 7 after Coweta sheriff’s deputies responded to a 911 call at Hazelrigs’ Crawford Circle home, according to the Times-Herald.

Coweta Assistant District Attorney Robert Mooradian told the paper an exact cause of death remains undetermined.

“The autopsy disclosed a rare optical petechial hemorrhage, along with facial and oral marks, which raise suspicion,” he said. “However, they don’t provide a definitive cause of death.”

Hazelrigs’ two other children — ages 2 and 4 — allegedly tested positive for methamphetamine, The AJC reported in September.
