A man on a motorcycle was struck and killed late Monday in northwest Atlanta by an alleged drunk driver, according to police.
Investigators believe Nathan Krohn was driving his 2013 Honda Civic westbound on the wrong side of Donald Lee Hollowell Parkway around 10 p.m. The motorcyclist was traveling eastbound when he was struck by Krohn, Atlanta police Sgt. Greg Lyon said Tuesday.
The Fulton County Medical Examiner’s Office identified the motorcyclist as 43-year-old Ellijah Robinson, of Atlanta.
He died at the scene of the wreck, Lyon said.
Krohn, 33, of Mableton, remained at the scene of the crash and was detained by police.
“He exhibited the symptoms of being under the influence of alcohol,” Lyon said.
Krohn was arrested and charged with first-degree vehicular homicide, DUI and driving on the wrong side of the road, according to police. He was being held without bond Tuesday morning, jail records showed.
