A missing 11-year-old southwest Atlanta boy who sent a text message to his sister Monday morning and said he’d been kidnapped Sunday night has been found safe, police said.

The boy, Keyshawn “Newsie” Finch, was last seen about 11 p.m. Sunday at his home in the 460 block of Dollar Mill Road. He was wearing navy blue Air Jordan jogging pants with an orange logo and a yellow jacket. Keyshawn sent the text to his sister about 10:20 a.m. Monday, police said.

Just before 3:45 p.m. Monday, Atlanta police spokesman Lukasz Sajdak said Keyshawn had been located. No other details were released.
