A man in his 40s was shot and killed on a southwest Atlanta street Tuesday afternoon.

The shooting in the 1100 block of Greenwich St. SW was reported around 12:30 p.m. Atlanta police spokesman Officer Ralph Woolfolk said the victim, who was deceased at the scene, “appeared to have been shot several times.”

The victim’s identity was not released.

Channel 2 Actions News reported that a white van was seen fleeing the scene.
