A man shot in the face and arm Wednesday morning near Norcross is expected to survive, Gwinnett County police said.
No arrests have been made.
Cpl. Michele Pihera said officers responded to the 1000 block of Sterling Court just before noon, finding an adult male who lived at the home shot multiple times. Preliminary investigation suggests that he “got into a verbal argument” with two or three other people before being shot.
Witnesses told Channel 2 Action News they heard a “barrage” of gunfire.
“Two other people were inside the home at the time of the shooting,” Pihera said in an emailed statement, “but neither of them saw the incident. The suspects were last seen fleeing the location in a white car.”
Robbery “may” be the motive, Pihera said. The relationship between the victim and suspects was unclear.
