Man in critical condition after being shot in head while driving

A man remained in critical condition Friday afternoon after being shot in the head while driving in southwest Atlanta, according to police.

The man, whose name was not released, was on Connally Drive shortly before 5 p.m. Thursday when he was shot, causing him to drive off the road and hit a fence, Sgt. Greg Lyon with Atlanta police said. He was taken to Atlanta Medical Center, where he remained Friday, Lyon said.
