1 killed, 2 injured in Cartersville wreck

A person was killed in a two-car wreck Friday morning in Cartersville, the Georgia State Patrol said.

About 10 a.m., a black Honda Accord was traveling north on Ga. 3 when it failed to yield while making a left turn onto South Bridge Drive and hit a Ford Tempo, GSP officials said.

A passenger inside the Tempo died shortly after the crash. The identity has not been released.

The driver of the Tempo, 52-year-old Anthony Upton, was taken to WellStar Kennestone Hospital with serious injuries, officials said. The driver of the Accord, Sharon Bryson, 52, was taken to Cartersville Medical Center with minor injuries.
