Hawkins’ Honda was traveling east on Francis Road when it crossed into the westbound lane and struck the F-150 driven by Jeffrey Lamkin, 50, Rainwater said.

Hawkins was declared dead at the scene, Rainwater said. Lamkin was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The wreck remains under investigation.
