Hall County man arrested, accused of molesting 7-year-old girl
A Hall County man who authorities said molested a 7-year-old girl is behind bars.
Jesus Aponte-Rodriguez, 53, was arrested and charged with child molestation and aggravated child molestation, according to jail records.
The sexual molestation happened between January and April of 2019, Hall County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Lt. Scott Ware said.
Investigators said Aponte-Rodriguez and the victim knew each other. Family members of the girl contacted the Hall sheriff’s office, which prompted a criminal investigation, Ware said.
Authorities obtained a warrant for Aponte-Rodriguez’s arrest on Thursday, and he was booked into the county jail the next day. His bond has not been set.
This case remains under investigation by the Hall County Sheriff’s Office.
