One of three suspects in the armed robbery of a Norcross laundromat has a tattoo on his face, Gwinnett police said Monday.

Two women and one man were seen March 14 at about 3:30 p.m. on surveillance video at the Happy Coin Laundry, located in the 4700 block of Britt Road, Gwinnett Police spokeswoman Cpl. Michele Pihera said in a news release.

The video showed a man talking to the two women who were doing laundry near the back of the store.

After the women finished their laundry and left store in a brown late 1990s model Buick, the man walked up to the front counter and placed $2 on the counter to purchase laundry detergent from an employee. As she turned her back, the man pulled a gun and demanded money from the register, while ordering the victim not to scream. The suspect then went around the counter and stole several hundred dollars, according to the news release.

As the suspect left the store, he was seen dropping cash, which he picked up as he walked toward the Food Depot, Pihera said.

The man was described as having a tattoo on his cheek, between 18 to 28 years old, 5 feet 8 to 11 inches tall and between 140 and 185 pounds. He was wearing black Nike hooded sweatshirt, black pants and dark shoes with white soles.

One of the women had black braided hair and was wearing a dark colored tank top. The other was wearing a blue shirt and carrying a red purse.
