A Gwinnett man has been sentenced to life in prison for the 2013 killing of a woman who was helping coordinate a custody swap with his ex-girlfriend.

Gwinnett County Chief Assistant District Attorney Dan Mayfield said Wolf Micah Griffin pleaded guilty Thursday on charges related to the murder of Peggie Robinson. He was sentenced Friday to life in prison without the possibility of parole.

Griffin, 35 at the time, dropped off his 6-year-old son at a Dacula home on Dec. 28, 2013, before stabbing Robinson multiple times as she sat in her car. Robinson, 61, was a friend of Griffin’s ex-girlfriend — the mother of his child — and was acting as an intermediary between the duo when she was killed.

Robinson and Griffin were reportedly discussing child support payments during the attack, though possible mental health issues were suggested during preliminary hearings in the case.

Griffin has remained in the Gwinnett County jail since his original arrest on the day of Robinson’s death.
