Gwinnett County police are asking for the public’s help finding the hit-and-run driver who struck and killed a motorcyclist Sunday morning.

Cpl. Michele Pihera said investigators believe 24-year-old Scott Moseley was riding his motorcycle near Buford when, around 12:45 a.m., he attempted to make a left turn from Camp Branch Road onto Gravel Springs Road. Moseley struck a raised median and was ejected from his motorcycle.

Police believe he was still lying in the roadway when he was struck by an “unknown vehicle.”

“The driver of the vehicle fled the scene without stopping to render aid or contact police,” Pihera said in a news release. “Moseley likely died as a result of being struck by the vehicle.”

Investigators said the vehicle likely was a dark-colored 1990 to 1993 Honda Accord with damage to the passenger side of the front bumper.

Detectives want to speak with the driver “to learn more details about the accidents,” Pihera said.
