Police are looking for a hotel bandit who robbed a guest at gunpoint early Monday morning.

The robbery was reported at the Holiday Inn Express & Suites at 111 Cone Street, according to police.

Sometime before 5 a.m., Farraj Alrashdi awoke in his downtown Atlanta hotel room to an armed man standing over him, police said.

“The male told him to be quiet as he took three phones, a laptop a backpack, and then fled the scene,” Atlanta Police spokeswoman Officer Kim Jones said.

Alrashdi wasn’t injured, police said. Police did not release a description of the robber.

A previous version of this story included an incorrect location for the robbery. It did not take place at the Holiday Inn on Andrew Young International Boulevard.
