Girl, 14, assaulted at bus stop near home, police say

A 14-year-old girl was assaulted Friday morning while she waited for a school bus outside her residence in Douglasville, police said.

The incident happened on Charlton Place off Prestley Mill Road in the Charlton Crossing subdivision, police said in a statement. The girl was not seriously hurt.

A lookout has been issued for a man 30-40 years old with facial stubble, unkempt bushy hair with sideburns, and a missing tooth.

He was last seen wearing a red shirt, yellow jacket with a reflective green cross, dark slacks and black shoes, one of which has a damaged sole.

He may have sustained injuries to his forehead during the assault, police said.
