A Cumming man is facing a felony murder charge after he allegedly shot his former roommate, authorities said Friday.
Christopher Puckett, 31, was arrested Thursday after deputies responded to a shooting in the 5400 block of Memphis Street, Forsyth County sheriff’s spokesman Peter Sabella said.
Puckett and Jimmy Hendrix, 52, had been arguing, which led to Puckett shooting the victim once in the chest, Sabella said. The incident happened in the front yard of Hendrix’s residence.
Hendrix was taken to a local hospital, where he died, Sabella said.
Puckett was booked into the Forsyth County jail and is being held without bond. He also is charged with aggravated assault.
