A man police believe robbed at least three DeKalb County businesses recently looked straight into a security camera without hiding his face.

A shocked woman watched as he pulled out a gun and approached the cash register at United Dollar off Rockbridge Road on Sunday, according to Channel 2 Action News.

Police told the news station the same man was caught on camera at Family Dollar off Memorial Drive two days later. Video surveillance shows the man with a gun grow impatient and reach over the counter to grab the register and cash.

Both robberies happened in the afternoon, during busy times, and Detective M. Knight said the man was so carefree he prioritized gathering cash over protecting his back from possible attack.

Knight told Channel 2 police contacted Gwinnett County police and several surrounding departments because he believes the man robbed more stores where he wasn’t caught on camera.

The suspect may be playing a game or so money hungry that he “doesn’t give a damn about life and will kill everybody in the store,” Knight said.

United Dollar clerk Nassal Manal told Channel 2 he was horrified when he watched his friend get shot in the chest during a robbery in April. Fortunately, his friend survived, but the shooter has not yet been caught.

Witnesses said the suspect drove off in a sporty black sedan like a Ford Mustang or Chrysler 200 with several other men in the getaway car. The driver and passengers all looked to be early 20s to 30 years old.
