DeKalb County authorities have made arrests in two recent fatal shootings.

Angelo Dennard is jailed in the June 13 fatal shooting of his companion, Dianna Cruz-Sagrero.

Sheriff’s deputies picked Dennard up Wednesday near the corner of Metropolitan Avenue and Ralph David Abernathy Boulevard in Atlanta, authorities said.

Dennard, 32, allegedly shot Cruz-Sagrero in front of his mother and his two children – ages 9 and 4. He is charged with murder, aggravated assault and two counts of third-degree child cruelty.

He remains in the DeKalb County Jail on $200,000 bond.

Meanwhile, deputies with the fugitive squad arrested Jimmy Earl Welch on Monday for allegedly killing a person on July 4.

Authorities accuse Welch, 19, of shooting Courtney Walker five times and killing him during an altercation.

Welch was arrested in Stone Mountain, authorities said.

He is being held at the DeKalb County Jail and awaits a bond hearing.
