DeKalb County police are searching for two of the four people involved in a shootout during a home invasion.

The intruders broke into Jaye Carey’s home on Terrace Trail in unincorporated Decatur on July 14, according to Channel 2 Action News.

“All of them came in with masks on and in all black, and one of them had a shotgun,” Carey told Channel 2.

Carey was home with his brother, a friend and his young son, Zayon.

He said his only focus was on keeping his young son safe.

“I would give him my life. That’s all I can tell you,” he said.

During the fight, Carey threw one man down the stairs, but a bullet hit Carey and broke his collarbone. He told Channel 2 he still has a bullet lodged in his bicep.

His brother was also injured in the shooting and is still in the hospital.

Two of the four masked intruders were hurt in the fight.

James Hardy and Antonio Brown were arrested and charged with aggravated assault and home invasion, according to DeKalb County Jail records.

Two more suspects are at large.

Carey told Channel 2 he believes the men were trying to steal his photography equipment.
