One man is dead and another is injured after a shootout Wednesday night outside an apartment complex in Atlanta’s Mechanicsville neighborhood.
The surviving victim was a resident of the apartment complex in the 500 block of Wells Street, Atlanta police Capt. D’Andrea Price told Channel 2 Action News. The man was on his way upstairs when he was confronted by two people and shot in both legs, she said.
Another man was shot in the head and killed. Price said investigators do not know what role he played in the ordeal, but they believe there was some kind of gun battle or robbery.
They are still searching for a third person who may have been involved, according to Channel 2. Police have not released the names of the victims or a description of any possible suspects.
