DeKalb County police Tuesday released the identity of an alleged intruder shot and killed last week by a homeowner.

The man now identified as 27-year-old Chazz Sweat was one of two suspects killed Wednesday in the robbery attempt on the 2800 block of Eastwood Drive. The homeowner’s mother also suffered a heart attack after the incident, police said.

According to an incident report, the 28-year-old homeowner flagged down officers outside his home around 5 p.m. Sweat was found lying in the front yard and bleeding from the head. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

A second suspect, 44-year-old Anthony Hubbard, was shot in the chest during the incident. He died at Grady Memorial Hospital after allegedly leaving the home in a car driven by 25-year-old Chernika Marks. Police believe the duo drove to a Zaxby's restaurant on Memorial Drive before calling for help.

Marks was arrested and charged with felony murder, aggravated assault and armed robbery. Under Georgia law, defendants can be charged with felony murder for participating in crimes that result in the death of another person — even if that person is an alleged co-conspirator.

Police said the homeowner’s mother was treated for a heart attack following the incident. Her condition was not released.
