Nov 17, 2015

A Marietta teenager has died from injuries sustained in a Sunday afternoon crash, authorities said.

Cobb County police Sgt. Dana Pierce said 19-year-old Christopher Martin died Monday night at WellStar Kennestone Hospital. He was the passenger in a single-vehicle crash on Marble Mill and Kenmill roads near Marietta.

According to police, 18-year-old Isaiah Williams “lost control” while driving his 1996 Infiniti I30 westbound on Marble Mill Road around 2:25 p.m. Sunday. The car spun into the front lawn of a nearby business and collided with a tree.

Williams, a Marietta resident, was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The investigation into the crash is ongoing, Pierce said. Anyone with information is asked to call 770-499-3987.
