Chamblee cops ID husband, wife in murder-suicide in front of child

July 6, 2015Chamblee police have identified the husband and wife killed Saturday in an apparent murder-suicide at a local park.
Authorities believe Robert Allen Harris, 34, shot and killed his wife, 38-year-old Nena R. Harris, at about 8:30 p.m. Saturday at Dresden Park. Both were deceased when police arrived at the scene.
The couple’s 2-year-old child was also at the park, at 2301 Dresden Drive. The toddler was unharmed.
Police have not released information about what may have preceded the shooting.
“The investigation is still ongoing,” Sgt. Chris Newberry said.
