Ahome surveillance camera recorded three people involved in a Gwinnett County home invasion, police said.

The crime occurred just after noon June 22 on Ledgewood Mill Way in Lawrenceville, police spokeswoman Cpl. Michele Pihera said Wednesday. Miscellaneous items were stolen.

The three people are seen ringing the doorbell and appearing in the front window, Pihera said. After seeing no movement inside, the people broke into the home through a rear window.

Once inside, the people began crawling on the family room floor, Pihera said. They entered an area behind the kitchen, looked through a coat closet and left the house.

The home invasion came after a woman who lived at the house called 911 earlier in the day, Pihera said. The resident called after she saw a man pull up outside the home in a silver truck. The man knocked on the door wearing a hood over his head. Officers could not find him, Pihera said.
