An innocent bystander was killed during a Saturday night double shooting in southwest Atlanta, police said.
Atlanta police spokesman Sgt. Gregory Lyon said officers responded to the 1900 block of Bent Creek Way at about 10:50 p.m. to find two victims with gunshot wounds. One man — believed to be a innocent bystander — had been shot in the head and was pronounced dead at the scene, Lyon said.
The man police believe was the intended target of the shooting was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital with a gunshot wound to the leg, Lyon said. He was subsequently interviewed by detectives.
No further information was immediately available.
