A man was shot and killed early Tuesday while sitting on the porch of his apartment near Chamblee, DeKalb County police said.

The victim was shot once in the abdomen as he sat outside the Heights at Chamblee apartments in the 3000 block of Chamblee Tucker Road. His name was not released, but police described him as a 33-year-old Hispanic man.

Authorities were called to the complex about 4 a.m., about one-half hour after the deadly shooting.

Investigators learned the victim’s sister witnessed the shooting but did not recognize the gunman. They also found a stolen gun out of Atlanta on the scene.

No one is in custody in connection with the shooting.
