Man shot to death inside Peachtree Corners apartment

Gwinnett County police are investigating after a man was found shot to death inside a Peachtree Corners apartment Friday afternoon.

Officers responded to a report of a person shot at the Fields Peachtree Retreat Apartments about noon and discovered the man’s body in the 700 building, Gwinnett police spokesman Cpl. Collin Flynn said.

While the circumstances surrounding the death are still under investigation, detectives believe the victim and suspect knew each other, Flynn said.

Police have not released a description of the suspect, and the identity of the man killed won’t be made public until his family has been notified, authorities said.
