A 24-year-old man was shot and killed Tuesday inside a vehicle at a Citgo in DeKalb County, authorities said.

The shooting happened around 4:30 p.m. at the gas station on Columbia Drive in Decatur off I-20, according to DeKalb County police. A child care facility is nearby.

“We do consider this an isolated incident. We don’t believe that anyone in the day care center was in danger,” DeKalb police spokeswoman Shiera Campbell told Channel 2. “Right now we believe the victim may have possibly been in his vehicle when he was shot.”

Police told Channel 2 that the two drove to the gas station in the same car and came inside to get drinks. Surveillance footage shows the two inside. Police told the news station the man in the red shirt is the shooter and the man wearing a hat is the one who died.
