See the blue car in the back by the gas pumps? Witness tell me that’s the car two men drove in together at this Decatur gas station off I-20 and Columbia. Police say the driver of that car shot the man then sped away. #nightbeat pic.twitter.com/ij1YL7coTH

“We do consider this an isolated incident. We don’t believe that anyone in the day care center was in danger,” DeKalb police spokeswoman Shiera Campbell told Channel 2. “Right now we believe the victim may have possibly been in his vehicle when he was shot.”
Police told Channel 2 that the two drove to the gas station in the same car and came inside to get drinks. Surveillance footage shows the two inside. Police told the news station the man in the red shirt is the shooter and the man wearing a hat is the one who died.

The suspected shooter left the scene, police said.
The DeKalb County Medical Examiner has responded to the gas station.
