Atlanta police are investigating three overnight shootings, including two fatal incidents, that happened within the span of one hour.
Officers were first sent to the 1200 block of Donnelly Avenue in southwest Atlanta about 11:15 p.m. Monday, police spokesman Officer Steve Avery told AJC.com on Tuesday.
Police at the scene found two men with gunshot wounds, he said. Both victims were taken to a local hospital, where one died of his injuries. The second victim is expected to survive, Avery said. No other details were available.
About 30 minutes later, officers were dispatched to the 400 block of Bolton Road in northwest Atlanta, where they found a man who had been shot, Avery said.
The man was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead, according to police.

Witnesses at the scene told officers they heard gunshots but did not realize anyone was injured.
Investigators were later called to a location on New Town Circle after a teen was reportedly injured in a shooting.
The 17-year-old told police he heard gunfire as he was standing near some bushes, Avery said.
The teen ran away, but later realized he had been grazed by two bullets, Avery said. He said he does not know who shot at him.
No arrests have been made in any of the three cases. Investigators are still trying to determine the circumstances surrounding the incidents.
Tuesday’s shootings come on the heels of other outbursts of violence in Atlanta in recent weeks. Secoriea Turner, 8, was one of five people killed after gunfire erupted across the city over the July 4 weekend. More than two others were injured, too.
