UPDATE: Man killed in hit-and-run outside popular Buckhead club ID’d

Authorities are searching for a driver.

Police are looking for a driver who hit and killed a man in front of a popular Buckhead dance club.

The parking lot in front of Johnny's Hideaway was taped off after the fatal hit-and-run early Monday on Roswell Road, according to Channel 2 Action News.

The man was found dead in the roadway near the intersection of Roswell Road and Ivy Chase Way, according to police spokesman James White. He was identified by the Fulton County Medical Examiner’s office as 31-year-old Robert Bowden.

“At this time, it appears the victim fell into the northbound lanes of travel on Roswell Road and was struck by a dark sedan,” White said. The driver kept going without stopping, he said.

Atlanta police aren’t sure where the man was coming from when he was struck. He may have been under the influence, they said.

Investigators are still looking for the car that hit the man.
