Police confirmed that the body found in northwest Atlanta on Thursday was a Cobb County man who had been reported missing.

Austin Hart, 25, of Acworth, had been missing for two days. Police said he was found on the side of a home on the 1000 block of Neal Place.

Hart told his mother he was leaving for Atlanta about 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, police said.

“The family received a call from an unknown male advising that the vehicle is at Paines Avenue and Pelham Street,” Atlanta police Officer Stephanie Brown said. “The vehicle was located, but Mr. Hart was not.”

Hart’s body was the second one found near a home in northwest Atlanta in two days.

On Wednesday, a woman's body was discovered next to a home on Griffin Street just off North Avenue.

No other details were given on Hart’s disappearance. Police said there were no obvious signs of foul play.
