A body recovered from Lake Lanier last week has been identified as that of an Atlanta woman reported missing in July near the lake, authorities said.

Madeline Sinagra, 31, was reported missing in Hall County on July 22 after she jumped off a boat into the lake to swim, the Hall County Sheriff's Office said in a news release.

She reportedly got tired while swimming and couldn’t make it back to her boat, the release said. She wasn’t wearing a life jacket.

No foul play is suspected.

A man on the boat tried to rescue her when she became tired, attempting to throw a line to her several times, he told deputies after her disappearance. However, his attempts failed, and he wasn’t able to locate Sinagra underwater.

The Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office recovered her body Oct. 12.
