Bond set for man accused of trying to kidnap DeKalb children

Bond has been set for a man in jail for allegedly trying to snatch a pair of DeKalb County children from their home Friday afternoon.

Around 2:30 p.m., police say Musa Lang entered a home on Pinnacle Drive near Stone Mountain and tried to kidnap a 6-year-old and 2-year-old.

“The mother who was home with her children confronted the intruder who then fled,” DeKalb County police spokesman Capt. Steven Fore said.

Police called to the home were able to find Lang hiding in a nearby restaurant, Fore said.

Lang, 32, is charged with two counts of felony kidnapping and one court of burglary and is in police custody, authorities said.

His bond was set at $150,000 during his first court appearance Saturday night, according to the DeKalb Magistrate Court.

His next court date has not yet been set.
